I realize that, but it's always fun to have the top ranked class. A top five class shows the coaching staff's hard work, and program's ability to bring talent in, but a #1 class validates it.

ople that follow recruiting know that a #1 class is not the definition of success. Yea, some make a big deal out of it (t-shirts anyone?) but the real deal is to be able to bring in top 10 classes on a consistent basis along with recruiting specifically to your needs.

This. When you can land the recruits for the position needs its a no brainer that is what upper teir programs want to do most.

I have the luxury of living in Jackson, MS (if that makes sense ) where there a hardly any Aubs. I won't hear it from any except online.

I also heard that the lineman from Cullman is going to commit the first day he is allowed to. I don't know if that has been posted on this board or not.

I don't hear it much where I live. Arkansas isn't exactly recruiting that great. However, I have an Auburn cousin (the lone deserter in the family ).

Expect a rush of commitments for the 2011 class in the coming weeks. Spencer Region, the Cullman OG, we'll be the third commitment for next year. A.J. Johnson, from Georgia, may pull the trigger soon (he's Blake Sims' teammate). Reese Dismukes, Cyrus Kouandjio, and Isaiah Crowell could commit soon too.

You would think OM would have a better class after back-to-back 9 win seasons........

And people say theres no correlation to rankings and success. Look at those teams at the top and look at the success.
