Someone on the bunker said they saw Parks at the mall buying an Auburn hat and he said he was committing to AU tomorrow.
As with all recruiting news, take it for what its worth.

Bump this thread and let us know, I know you have good ties.
Common sense just tells me Gunner to OU, Winston to 'Bama or MLB. I just can't see him turning down a fat MLB contract.
From what I understand, the staff at Bama has Gunner ahead of Winston on their board. They think they get Gunner and are not concerned about his visit to OU. He didn't commit while there and the staff feels it did little to change their chances with him.
He has been to Bama about 4 or 5 times (which is most of any place). My guy said if he goes elsewhere it would be a surprise to the staff (and this is the same guy who told me on the Saturday before signing day that the staff thought there was a real chance that Cyrus K would commit elsewhere...check my history on that one - I posted that conversation the day it happended - again, before signing day - and got SLAMMED over it from fellow Bama fans...the guy is connected to say the least)

Then, as of now and based on what you said, I'm saying Gunner to 'Bama..
It would just be crazy for him to pass up starting as a Frosh and playing with DGB in the high flying Oklahoma offense..

I was confident that if he was committing before the OU visit that it would be to Bama. After a couple of conversations, I now know the staff has confidence that if he was committing today it would be to Bama. Anything could change b/t now and Sunday - and it wouldn't surprise me much to see him delay, although he will be an EE and wants to get this out of the way - but I feel better about our chances than I did this morning.

IMO, if I was Gunner, I would look at Sims and McCarron being at 'Bama. Then I would look at Laundry Jones being at Oklahoma, and he'll probably be going pro after this season. Not to mention, there's so many weapons that Oklahoma has right now and that they are recruiting. Them having a high possibilty of landing DGB would be enough to get me to commit there. He'll be a freak..

Yeah. Julio also wore an Oklahoma sweatshirt to testify at a murder drial about a month before signing day. None of that mattered b/c Julio was from Alabama and grew up an Alabama fan. Saban had REALLY impressed Julio during recruiting. Most didn't worry about Julio that much.
Gunner is not from Bama and didn't grow up a Bama fan. And, as others have rightly pointed out, OU has & will have tons of weapons AND opportunity. Bama has & will have tons of weapons, but the kid might not play until he's a sophomore (and I know he's told coaching staffs at Bama & OU that he wants to spend a year or two learning the system, but a guy doesn't graduate early & enroll in January b/c he wants to get a jumpstart on sitting on the bench).
