Missouri will be fine. It's become cliche to say that the East is down. It probably is.

But that 2012 Mizzou team was good enough before injuries to make this a 3-peat division champion.

And why didn't Tennessee or Kentucky or Vandy or South Carolina jump into that void of injuries to Florida and Georgia instead of Missouri?

2012 was terrible for us. Nearly cost Pinkel his job, at least if please-me-now internet fans had their way.

The thing is, Franklin was probably a better QB (when healthy) than Mauk is right now.

That roster had Justin Britt, 5th-year tackle Elvis Fisher, next year's NFL defensive rookie of the year Sheldon Richardson, EJ Gaines, Zaviar Gooden, etc., etc.

I know everyone has this story, but the injuries that hit that team are easily in the same league as what hit Georgia and Florida later.
