There are more televisions in Texas, than there are in Mississippi, Arkansas, Alabama and Louisiana combined.
Probably so, but the equation is 2 parts not 1.
Part 1 = total TV's in a state
Part 2 = total TV's in a market
In MS, AR, AL, and LA the SEC market dominates the state
In TX, the SEC market does not dominate the state

I guess no one took the time to figure out that each schools share went DOWN after adding the aggies and miz.
No. Media deals went up $40 million total, and we are taking less than $20 mil each.
Without us there is no renegotiation of those deals to bring in that extra $40 million. Thanks to the crappy 2009 contract the SEC was locked in for a long time without the expansion look-ins.
Also without the redone contract there is no SEC Network which hits next year. The whole point of the 2009 contract was to prevent the SEC from having a network so without the look-in that is gone.
Basically Mizzou and A&M already paid for ourselves year 1, and it is pure profit from here on out.

True. But the Texas market is SO big, that even capturing a fraction of it is bigger than any of those individual states.
Houston metro alone has over 6 million people.

Not to mention that TLN has failed to live up to their projected number of subscribers. I mean, who really wants to watch crappy football anyway? They can't even get the two biggest providers to sign up to carry the network... in Texas.
The SEC network will surpass the LNW rather quickly.
