Seriously, if we were to lose Franklin to [USC/Bama/whatever] at some point, I would absolutely love to have David Cutcliffe as his replacement. The guy's an excellent coach.

I don't see anyway that you guys make Atl, beat Clemson or provide any competition if you make it. QB is gutsy and banged up, that's the best that I can come up with.

They haven't done a good job of steamrolling lately. They barely beat a truly awful Auburn team last year. They edged Georgia, and had a miracle win against LSU last year. They've lost to USCe four straight years. Bama annihilated them in 2008. Hell, they were pretty sad in their win vs UK in 2009. Clemson has had a decidedly mixed record against the SEC, and even their wins weren't exactly inspiring.

Oh, and yeah, I've been saying for better than two weeks now that SCAR is the only team from the East that can beat Bama ... if you get past Auburn.
SCAR has the OLine and DLine to give Bama fits. SCAR has the WRsto give Bama fits. SCAR has a healthy mobile QB (thanks to the week off) to give Bama fits and honestly, IMHO, even our backup would do a better decision making job with open receivers than poor Mett did last night. And perhaps most importantly, we're not afraid of Bama. Our guys are quietly playing with that game in mind and getting better each week. We've got Bama's over confidence on our side.
We'll see you there ... if you get past Auburn.

At this stage, any team that has handed another team its only loss deserves a bit of confidence. Granted, handing Mizzou its only loss isn't quite the same as handing Stanford its only loss, and I doubt Utah could stay within four touchdowns of Bama. But I wouldn't overlook USCe. Bama was the better -- or at least the more talented -- team in 2010 and USCe outplayed them.
That said, I'd expect Bama to be at least a 10+ point favorite if they met in the SECCG.
