1995 Nebraska beat 4 final ranked teams, 4 in top 10
2020 Alabama beat 5 final ranked teams, 4 in top 10
2019 LSU beat 7 final ranked teams, 5 in top 10

Fine, then none of LSU's neutral site or home games count, since there weren't any opponent fans in the stands.

You’re being dishonest. Certainly you understand how playing true road games is an important part of college football and a season that simply did not have that is a legitimate knock against a team playing in that season as compared to other seasons.

And it's not magical, it's called natural immunity. Alabama players were smart enough to have covid parties in the summer, even though the media and others acted like it was terrible.

A lot of other schools did this. It strains credibility to assert with a straight face that everything was on the up and up with regards to Alabama’s covid protocols that year.

quote:

But it was a better season than 2019 LSU.

It objectively was not and is sort of silly to say it was considering how many opponents you played were missing starters. I’m embarrassed for you.

The stadium at LSU in the 4th quarter looked the same in 2020 as it does almost every other year.

Homefield advantage is like 2.5-3 points. LSU was getting it's arse kicked no matter how many witnesses there were.

And some teams named LSU used it as a way to try and get out of games to avoid the embarrassment of getting their arse whipped, and their fans lie to themselves on a daily basis pretending it was normal and abundant.

So this is how we will determine future GOAT? By the % of starters that had injuries/sickness to cause them to miss the game?

Go ahead, name all the starters that missed the games before Alabama from a team not named LSU. It's not many.

And by this logic, whoever wins the championship next year will be the GOAT because it will be a 17, possibly 18 game season for a team and they will easily play more than 5 teams in the top10.

Maybe it's a sign your metric is incomplete. Like you need more than SoS. Like I dunno, maybe something that measures how dominate the team was against it's opponent, like margin of victory.

But I guess using metrics that aren't based in half lies and bullshite exposes LSU as frauds.

It's not like my team gave up 38 points to Vandy.

The last time Alabama allowed Vandy to score 38 points was 1906.

Say what you want. 2019 will be regarded as one of the greatest teams ever. 2020 Bama will forever have an asterisk a will be remembered for being the best at getting its best players to disregard COVID protocols.

You played against our 3rd team as it was. LSU, like many schools, had a lot of internal pressure they had to deal with the protocol as that year which led to asymptomatic players having to sit. Obviously Alabama had a different protocol and with regards to the 2020 season itself i have no problem with it. But when you start talking about beat teams ever yes the context they played in does matter.

When you’re talking about the best of the best yes of course it’s relevant.

You don't beat teams by 3, 5 and 7 and then claim you are the GOAT. Especially when you give up 38 points to teams like Vandy in addition.

It was a good season that LSU fans need to exaggerate the frick out of because you constantly compare yourselves to Alabama and you know the national championship itself comes up short. It's kind of sad.

Same reason it pains you to even remotely admit 2020 was legitimate, because you sure as hell can't compare the stats without harping on an FCS and cupcake G5 win to make it 15.

Although some of you are probably just dumb and really believe it.

Sure we do, and a lot of people agree.

The only folks I see disagreeing constantly are jealous Alabama fans.

It wasn’t.

good season

You mean almost unanimously regarded as one of the top two seasons ever?

What’s funny is that all you Bama humps and your muh dynasty’s and all that shite just can’t let go of the fact that the stars lined up perfectly for LSU in 2019.

You can’t stand for the conversation to be somewhere else but in Tuscaloosa.

Hey. BTW. JDaniels is better than Bryce Young was at any point.

Give me those tears little buddy.

LSU fans are FAR from the only ones saying it’s the best team ever, or at least up at the very top.

quote:

because you constantly compare yourselves to Alabama

Or maybe it’s Alabama fans who can’t handle every bring not being about them all the time. Our 2019 season has NOTHING to do with you outside the one game we played you.

and you know the national championship itself comes up short.

what now?

Same reason it pains you to even remotely admit 2020 was legitimate

it’s a legitimate title, putting that season in even remotely the same class as some of the best every is farcical for reasons we’ve already discussed. And Alabama fans who were so torn up inside over 2019 and not being the center of attention embarrass themselves when they try to claim it is.

Hard to watch

No, I'm right. An LSU fan is as likely to see LSU get shut out in the state of Lousiana as they are to see LSU win.

But please, tell me how many of the 38 points LSU got it's arse kicked by your fans were going to make up.

So Alabama was handled extra hurdles and that some how made it easier for them? And the proof of this is your shitty arse program couldn't keep it together?

Fine, then your win against Alabama in 2019 should be removed since our defense was decimated by injury. And if not for the fact we had to play a true freshman at MLB, a guy who started that year and never again after other players were able to play allowed LSU to score multiple touchdowns in that game. Alabama had a host of other injures right down to our glassy QB.

And you still only won by 5 points. Not 38.

The way I see it, every team had to deal with the same thing. It made the season harder, not easier. And you are just trying to use Alabama overcoming that extra hardship as a penalty.

13 FBS teams, 11 of them from the best conference and best 11 that conference had to offer. No other team has done that, LSU certainly didn't.

Even had to play a team in the playoffs that only had to play 7 games to get there, while Alabama had played 12. But once again, in the mind of stupid LSU fans, this extra difficulty is somehow a penalty.

Meanwhile, your team couldn't deal with ANY of this shite.

No they don't. Just stupid radio talk hosts saying clickbait shite in the hopes of adding a few more fans/followers.

Anyone who knows anything about the history of college football knows it's 1995 Nebraska.

1995 Nebraska is the GOAT. That's the fact of the matter, and LSU fans can't deal with it. The closest any team came to beating them was 14 points. They beat an undefeated Florida team with a heisman QB in their bowl game 62-24.

Nebraska was 3 point favorite going into the game. That's how good Florida was that year.

And the you ignorant arse LSU fans go around pretending like you did anything remotely on that level and it's stupid.
