I find it hard to believe Bama gets in this year. Kills me to say it, but Bama needs a lot of things to happen. Bamas best bet is for Clemson to slip up somewhere or for a 2 loss conference champion.

And that one year only happened when the Committee was prepared to make Auburn the one and only team to get in with TWO losses (until they blew it against UGA), largely on the strength of a win over Alabama. So the "Bama bias" was gonna help you more than it ever did us.

Problem for Bama is when they beat AU, AU will not be ranked in the top 10 so Bama won’t have any top 10 wins and only a loss to #1 LSU on their own home field giving up a record 46 points... not much of a resume to leap over Oregon/ Utah/ Minnesota/ Oklahoma/ Baylor etc....

By my count with 2011, in the hypothetical world where it happens again; this would be the third time such a BYE week happened via not winning the West.
But I highly doubt this is the year for that luxury to happen barring some pretty major upsets.
