Auburn D is so overrated.

Just curious if you have watched them play this year?

Only UGA has a better defense than Bama in the SEC. Bama is a step better than Auburn and a couple steps better than Florida.

Outside of Auburn's interior Dline they are average or below average everywhere else.

LSU will struggle offensively due to how the game is called.

They will not be able to hold Lewis and Jennings the way they did the Auburn D-linemen.

Bama will score in the 40s and LSU will score in the 20s.

41-24 Bama. The game will be semi competitive, but never in doubt.

I added these common opponent stats to the OP, and they say Auburn did the best per play of the three.

SC/Tenn vs. UF defense
5.2 yd/pass
4.2 yd/rush

SC/Tenn vs. Bama defense
5.3 yd/pass
3.9 yd/rush

--

TAMU/Ark/OM vs. Aub defense
5.0 yd/pass
2.9 yd/rush

TAMU/Ark/OM vs. Bama defense
5.7 yd/pass
4.3 yd/rush

Not a perfect measure of course, but interesting to look at.

Thanks for all the stats.

I would be curious how those stats would look with "garbage time" removed.

I watched all four Alabama/Auburn vs Ole Miss/Texas A&M games and recall both Ole Miss and Texas A&M racking up a lot of 2nd half yards when the games were in hand.
