Wait, you mean there were people that actually thought Bama would lose before the game? Please link me to any information anywhere that would prove you correct

I can see why you'd say that, but you can't really understand what their fans are like, how obsessed they are with us.

Link: Weekly TV Ratings

Some interesting numbers compared to the last two years.. Here is the breakdown by time slot..

Morning Games
Texas vs OU ~ 5.9
Ohio State vs Maryland~ 2.8
Arkansas vs Ole Miss ~ 2.2
Tennessee vs SC ~ 0.8
Others ~ 1.0
Total ~ 12.7 million

Afternoon
Iowa vs PSU ~ 7
Georgia vs Auburn ~ 4.5
BYU ~ 2
FSU ~ 1
Others ~ 1
Total ~ 15.5 million

Night Games
Alabama vs A&M ~ 8.3
Michigan vs Nebraska ~ 4.6
USC vs Utah ~ 1.4
Others ~ 2.1
Total ~ 16.4 million

I’m not sure how it compares against prior years, but College Football appears to be doing pretty good right now.

You do realize Birmingham, AL watches as much football as anybody right?

Texas/Bama when they play will blow away the Aggies ratings

I’d bet a lot of money that 1/2 those TVs didn’t get turned on until the world saw Bama getting beat. I bet a ton of people across the US turned on the TV when they saw that

People tuned in to watch Bama lose, not to see A&M win. There's a monumental difference there.

There's still somehow a substantial fanbase for Texas A&M football. I have no idea how it exists or who these people are. I imagine it's just people from Texas wanting to watch an SEC game with a Texas team but not really caring about A&M. Or just a lot of closeted t-shirt aggies.
