Bama views it as a small copse of alders beside a small brook.

That they have to take a bye before playing. Yeah, no big deal.

Okay...it's a bubbling brook and the alders are angry.

For all their bluster, they really are the most insecure fanbase around when you get down to it.

1 - I take it as a huge compliment that since 2008 they have taken a bye the week before LSU six out of eight times (2015 schedule included). Just recognizes we are going to play a hard fought game with them and they want to be ready.

2 - I have no issue with LSU not being considered a rival. That is historically UT and Auburn. Not a big deal.

Well considering LA has the talent and LSU has the support to sustain they will be relevant for the foreseeable future,DWI.

Rather be angry than afraid. Just saying. The bye don't lie Gump.

You are just proving my point Gump. Your team is vastly superior to ours. We need that precious bye week to prepare for the mighty Crimson Tide. Have been needing it for years. You should be using yours on your rivalry games, you know, that tough game called TSIO and the Iron Bowl. But yet you waste it on us. On the lowly corndog eating/smelling Swamp Kitties.

I wonder why?

As a side note, I grudglingly admit, you have the most well thought out username on this board.

(but I still hate Bama )

Tornado-If you ask the Bama players, I will be willing to bet those players will have LSU ahead of Tenn as far as rivalry. Bama-Auburn (10) Bama-LSU (9)

Over the last 15 years I give it a 8 or a 9. Before that it was rarely that competitive.

Here, have a corndog. But not one of the jalapeno flavored ones. Those are my favorites.

Its only a 8 year rivalry from the LSU side. Bama owned us til 2000- then we owned Bama til 2008. Its very recent with the amount of hate LSU has towards bama bam a probably doesn't notice LSU, like we don't notice Vandy, UK, Miss State, OM on our schedule tip that week. LSU doesn't have a rival. They dislike the teams that beat them until LSU beats them back. And LSU doesn't like whoever is on the schedule that week. Usually preseason i look to see when we play florida and bam a recently.

My man. If you are at Bragg you have an open invite to come hang out at the Wolfhound lair for an LSU game. Own a home over by Raeford Road, fairly close to Paraclete (if you know what that is). Currently stationed at Fort Gordon though.

Have a great time on leave. If you don't want to be in the barracks on Thanksgiving just drop me a line. Don't get intimidated but I am the same rank as your brigade commander. Graduated from Broadmoor in 81 and been a Soldier since.

Wolfhound lair is our house. My youngest son is probably close to your age,
