You accused me of making multiple threads about your clown coach.
You couldn't back that assertion up so you started typing in another language?
You warned the other Gator poster about me even though we've never engaged.
Can you see into the future?

You're the second gator I've owned in this thread.

I rate him an 8/10. I think most people over rate him. He averaged 7 regular season wins per season, and only had one season above .500 in the SEC.
He is excellent at recognizing talent in recruits. And in developing players to get the most out of them. For those with NFL talent, he prepares them for the league.
As an Xs and Os guy, he is meh. He is running Meyer's offense and using a playbook that is almost 15 years old, with no tweaks. What will he do when that offense becomes obsolete?
He is a good play caller, and great at utilizing his players' strengths. He is clueless on how to use trick plays.
He lacks imagination, and when his gameplan doesn't work he cannot make adjustments.
(Caveat here: the second half comeback against USC last year was the first time he pulled off something like that. I never saw that 2d half, so if he actually made adjustments then good for him).
He can't close well as a recruiter, and he never maintained momentum at State...decent recruiting years followed by very disappointing years. He left us with no depth.
Say what you want about our midseason #1 ranking...every team we beat finished the season with at least 5 losses. We've been 8-0 before, but never had everything fall into place for 8-0 to equal a #1 ranking.

Yes and it doesn't look good for me because I am clearly in Purgatory right now.

You've got a good sense of humor. Have a great day, it's only football.

He's a bit weird when you listen to him speak but he's a quality coach. He developed lesser talent and competed in a much tougher division.
Now that he's in a weaker division and pulling in top 10 classes he should have more success. If you pups think you're just going roll over UF every year then you're sadly mistaken. Recruiting rankings won't win you every game.

I don't watch or care about pressers. I just watch the games.

I trust your eyes on him better than mine. I saw the 2017 game against UGA with Mullen as a junior (48% completion, 29 pass attempts for 83 yards, 0 TDs and 2 INTs).
I also see his QB efficiency rating get worse every season.
Freshman 290.29 (backup to Dak)
Sophomore 124.33 (first year starter)
Junior 117.55 (second year starter)
What am I missing about his development as a passer under Mullen.
The NFL doesn't see him as a fully formed QB. I dont think that changed from his junior season.
Fitz has a strong arm, but is highly inconsistent as a passer. Mullen made him better at throwing the ball and he looked great at moments in his career. No one saw him as a qb out of high school. He was, however, a very good football player, and one that Mullen discovered and used to win games.
The 2017 at Georgia was not one of Mullen's best game plans. Then again, Fitz was just awful that night.

I love this line of thinking.
When we beat your bottom will we still be a "weaker division?"

Nothing against Mississippi State, but he recruited athletes there that they almost never got under any other coach.
Staying home because of “local pre$$ure” is not the same as being a good recruiter.

Not familiar with your claims; we now know about Ole Miss but I haven't heard about your claim against Miss State.

Literally had 3 trick plays that turned the momentum in our favor in 3 games last year.

I think he's a good coach on the sidelines during a game. Kirby might need to learn that from him actually.

Another note is he sucks at roster management. We are taking a bunch of JuCos this year because of holes and depth he left on the roster.
And that doesn’t even solve the fact he left us in a spot where we could have no Junior to Senior RBs next year.
He is a great talent evaluator and great at some running an offense but sucks at roster management and recruiting that upper tier of talent.
He also keeps Heavesy and Gonzelas around and neither of them are SEC quality assistant coaches. There is a reason we have the worst WR in the SEC up until this year when we finally got low-SEC level receivers even.
