Hey we could all go to Baton Rouge and get robbed, that sounds like a bad arse trip to a SEC town. Of course this is only because we aren't counting the University or the tailgating. Dumb arse.

Auburn is prob last on my list when there is no tailgating going on.

But even tailgating in Auburn is overly lame. But the game atmosphere is definitely top 5. You guys would be very surprised...

When you double post, it's time to go to bed.

Nah, it's not like that. We've never found a killer spot I guess. The only place I know is the gauntlet, but I hear they don't take too kindly to Alabama fans. I've never really seen people get too crazy there -- outside of the stadium at least.

I'll be down there, Saturday, though.

So one of the best things to do in BR is to drive away from it? Awesome

no its to the quality of life jackass. How long does it take you to get to Destin from Oxfart? Why do you think recruits choose lsu over ole miss, its a better place to get the next level and there is just more to do with htown 4 hours, florida 4 and nola an hour. like I said you leave oxfart and you are still in Miss.

and look at some of the polls at what makes lsu an attraction for out of state students, lot say its close to NOla.

all else isnt equal. BR has the worst crime in the SEC. It has the most poverty in the SEC

if bama was in Bham it would be just as bad or auburn in Mont. Yes lsu sits in a town of 750,000 people in its metro and maybe more today, but not knock lsu b/c what goes on plank road 9 miles away. I bet you don't hang out at Club Rags on your next stop to br, no you will be probably go to the Chimes. You can use the same angle if UT was in Memphis. There are some great parts of memphis and some real shite parts. Just like alot of big cities. all the crime in BR is isolated to one area. not crazy about the stats still but it is what it is.

doesnt mean the town as a whole is a good town.

BR has one bad area is north baton rouge and you will never step foot in that area if you are conming down for lsu games. Do judge NYC on Harlem? Detroit doesn't count b/c its all fricked up.

Baton Rouge would have been badass if it wasn't for all of the obnoxious GDI's with football jersey's and multicolored mohawks. Tigertown was awesome. Mike's was fun. The people were 90% annoying as heck. Besides the occasional cool guy.

I know it's a lot of pages so I dont blame you for taking this out of context. Gauld was saying there is nothing around Oxford while new Orleans is 80 miles away from BR, as if another town over an hour away makes a difference, but I just pointed out that we have two fun towns closer to Oxford than Nola is to BR.

As I also said earlier it seems that LSU fans are arguing BR case on a totally different city in New Orleans. It seems they think LSU is better than Oxford because Nola is better than tunica and Memphis, which is stupid.

Sheek, you've been banned from this thread. Only you think that TT is better than Oxford and only lsu fans think that BR is better than Oxford, try being a little mor objective

Redevelop tigerland!! I mean Fred's and all are cool, but class that area up! It could be so much better. I have to agree Athens has great resturant and bar scene walking distance from campus. We could easily smoke em with some effort.
