Ahhh, poor kid. Started a flame thread and it didn't work out the way you wanted?

If I wanted to flame I'd pick one target... I was actually asking for an opinion

We had seven SEC teams play absolutely lousy teams at home in week one... one managed to lose their game... the other six blew out their bad opponents

Now the fans of five teams (notice I didn't include bama in the pretender list) think they have better teams than they likely do... I'm curious to hear how bad the crash to reality is going to be

I'm sorry so a team that has two BCS titles is a pretender?

Pretty sure we are talkin 2010 not 2007 and surely not 2003. It seems all teams like Arky and LSU have to hang their hat is beating Auburn...or that is all they talk about anyways....

cause those teams looked great against bad competition in week one?

blowing out Tennessee Tech at home is a false cause for optimism... losing at home to a 1aa is cause for embarassment... beating a ranked team away from home is just fine (I'll take that any week of the season)

Who exactly is running around predicting a great year for Arkansas because we beat Tenn Tech by that margin? I don't recall ANY Arkansas fans talking up our team because of that. We have reasons to be confident and reasons to be worried, but I haven't seen the Tenn Tech game factor into any of that.

edit: Basically I think you are inventing controversy

You all couldnt take care of UNC third stringers. LSU offense is as anemic as it was last year. It will not be a blowout in JH this year. Book it!

if you guys had beaten anyone lately you could mention that too

atm better than half of your SEC opponents have bragging rights on Auburn tho: Bama, LSU, UGA, Arky, Kentucky, and Vanderbilt

To everyone answering LSU, I think you need to look up what a "pretender" is - by definition, it's someone who looks really good (here's where LSU is eliminated from the discussion) but isn't as good as they appear.

LSU looked like shite, and thus can't be considered a "pretender" (similar to Florida)

We looked really good for 3 quarters and shitty for 10 minutes. Do you people actually watch football or know anything about it? This place is turning into the Tiger Rant and I don't mean that in any kind of complimentary way.

I doubt most did

LSU needs to improve but aside from a dumb pick and several fumbles they showed potential and got some inexperienced players some snaps

and won away from home against a ranked team... I'll take that any week of this season

Need it in Aubie?

Most of the SEC = Bama

Auburn = Still Auburn compared to Bama

Nah, I watched the game. Let me rephrase - our gameplan looked like shite.

Now, with that said, LSU can't be considered a pretender as this is reserved for teams that looked really good in week 1. Not many people understand this concept though, and only want to flame LSU. Oh well.

He listed all the teams that beat your arse last time around. I thought it was pretty self explanatory.

Say what? The D played pretty well. The first touchdown was from the bad snap that was nearly kicked into the end zone.

We gave up 12 points and 212 total yards. LSU gave up 436 FTR and is ranked number 12 in total D. UF is ranked 5th in total D.

The only problem with the gameplan was that they got away from it about halfway through the 3rd quarter and went into a shell. I'm not happy about that either but it's far from a condemnation of the entire season before it even really gets going. Some of you so called fans really should put yourselves out of your misery.
