Pretty much agree with the OP. But Richt has done an excellent job this year, and so has Spurrier, considering all the drama, and losing Lattimore. Gus Malzahn was an idiot to turn down the Vandy job - does he really think that people believe he taught Cam Newton to run over people to make third downs? Franklin has done a hell of a job.

1)Saban Only by reputation Miles has closed the gap.
2)Miles To me he is as good as a before game planner there is in the Nation. Especially with more than a week to plan he is 18-2. If you are wondering Saban and Joe Pa were the loses. Miles is the only coach in the history of the SEC to win at least 11 games four times during his first six years in the league and also was 10-2 last year. He and Saban are equal in recruiting.
3)Petrino If he gets some defensive recruits he can be close to the top.
4)Frankin He is an up and coming new comer, now, lets see if he can recruit if he does not he will be no better than middle 4.
5)Spurrier His best days are behind him and the way he treats his QB's is a big problem and the reason he will continue to drop.
6)Richt If he can only put 2 ends of a season together he would be top 4
7)Mullen Like selling a house or peice of property, location, location, location, it is all about recruiting. What does Miss St have to offer?
8)Dooley It remains to be seen if he can bring in recruits the way Fulmer did back in the '90s he could be top 4.
8)Muschamp The same here with Muschamp can he recruit the way Meyer did is the big question.
10)Chizik He was lucky to have Gus Mulzahn in fact to me he should be the Head Coach not Chizik
11)Phillips The only reason he is not 10 is because of Malzahn.
12)Nutt The way Ole Miss is playin is enough said, maybe even a little worse.
Oh! Ok! A lot worse if he Coaches again it should be maybe at a Level III School but not a FBS School.

You cannot deny that petrino might be not just the best in the sec, but the country.

He doesn't have near the talent of a powerhouse, but they play like ballers

1. Miles. Gets the job done AND isn't a horses butt.
2. Saban. Gets the job done, but is a horses butt.
3. Chizik. One national championship and national coach of the year award. With what AU had returning, might have done an even better coaching job this year.
4. Petrino. Has had a nice run especially offensively.
5. Spurrier. At times looks like he'd rather be golfing, but has made SC a contender.
6. Richt. Has finally done something with the talent he has recruited.
7. Mullen. Had a nice season last year, but disappointment this year.
8. Franklin. Hard to rank him higher with less than a season under his belt.
9. Dooley. Will need some seasoning, but doing things the right way.
10. Muschamp. Might have a heart attack before Florida is good again.
11. Joker. Name says it all.

he's doing the best coaching job in the country, much less the SEC. Pick one.

very good coach. better than average recruiter.

kniles injury really hurts. We might be looking at an undefeated Arkansas team if kniles played at full strength vs Bama.

I presume he could get a medical redshirt but he will probably go NFL when he is allowed.
