Questions for the Miss State fans

I confess I have only watched one Miss State game this year, and that was the LSU game.
How has the secondary looked?
Has the Oline developed well ( if I remember it was a pretty new group)?
Are you comfortable with your running back situation?
I think Dak is probably the best qb in the SEC, he led the team to a comeback and was only a dropped pass from getting to OT against LSU and one field goal away from victory.
For Auburn I think our Oline is pretty good. No clear RB has been established (Barber has been the most consistent). Our qb situation is a hot mess and our D has struggled in every game. Losing Lawson after only one half of one game this season is particularly demoralizing.

Missed field goal away from a win. O-line is garbage. Starting the wrong Running back. Dak is playing a bit timid early in games. Defense looks surprisingly good. Secondary will suffice if we can establish a decent pass rush

Thanks.
I am not so sure how much your pass rush will matter this game tbh...

I don't know- I have a terrible feeling about this game. I can see Gus giving one "those" pre game speeches and the team rallying behind their 15 year old qb and everything coming together for Auburn, all while at home. I just have a bad feeling

It's Kay, we'll lose because State. Don't even worry about it.

I think home field works to our advantage. I still think it was the right call to not make a change during the LSU game.
That being said, if Dak gets rolling, I think Miss State can beat anyone.

Don't worry, I had the same thoughts of Auburn turning it around while sitting in my seat at Tiger Stadium on Saturday. You have nothing to worry about with those cats

Question for Miss St fans:
Will your football program EVER be relevant on the 'national stage' in college football?

The glaring weakness I saw with the LSU game was the LT...he stood out the most. Everything else was average or better.

as terrible as State has been historically, Auburn this year is setting a new low

I expected to lose against LSU. I am not sure what to expect against State. Their OL sucks from what I saw against LSU, but Auburn has . no pass rush without Carl Lawson. I expect Dak will have a decent amount of success passing if we give him time. I don't expect them to have much success running, and it is really going to get ugly if they can run the ball

Ahhh...that #2 vs #3 matchup in Starkville last year wasn't relevant enough on the national stage?
5 straight weeks at #1. Not too bad.
Will Auburn's football program go winless in conference play for the second time in 4 seasons??
State hasn't had a winless conference season since the 1980s.

Glad you popped in.
Do you have any comments/opinions about any of the question I asked?
Did not want this to be a troll or a pissing match, but I have only seen one Miss State game.

Neat. Seriously. But my question stands.
I mean, I KNOW that your only claimable SEC championship trophy belongs in the 1941 bookcase... But I respect that because it truly means you guys were the last SEC champions before the US entered WW2. So that's pretty cool. Honestly.
But ... Lezbihonest.
My question still stands.

Mullen showed some new wrinkles on Offense this past Saturday...had two RBs in the backfield on many snaps including G. Myles who is shifty and agile...the opposite of our RB Shump. Mullen hasn't done much of this since 2010-11
The OL didn't do well vs LSU in the first half but did a great job in the 2nd half giving Dak plenty of time to throw the ball.
Saturday was the first time that Dak had designed runs and zone-read keepers. He didn't run vs USM and LSU.
Defensively I've seen good and bad. The bad is when Coach Diaz does a lot of delayed blitzes and are picked up...getting zero pressure. I've seen that a good bit. Nothing too deceiving.
And also defensive alignment issues with RBs being able to get to the outside fairly easy.
I think the Bulldogs can and will score vs Auburn a good bit. I don't think AU will slow down the Dogs offense. But I do not know what to think of the defense...our defense has looked non-aggressive at times and doesn't know how to create turnovers. I wouldn't be surprised if the game was in the high 30s.
