Not sure you're coming off as cool as you think you are.

Yet you felt the need to respond.

In fairness, I appreciate the effort

It has been about as interesting a game talk week between MSU and AU as the 2008 3-2 classic

It's hard to get up for this game, TBH. Especially when it's an 11:00 game.

No real beef with MSU. Not much controversy either in the past like with some other schools.

We just beat them 4 times in a 10 year period. Of course AU did it during Bama's best run in their history, so your job isn't near as hard.

Or, you've only beaten them 4 times in a 13 year period...

Presently, Alabama leads head to head 47-37-1. This isn’t terrible if you think about how many good teams Alabama has had over the years,

I think that, given the overall accomplishments of each program, this is an amazing stat. Say what you want about playing UT or LSU, but THIS is what makes The Iron Bowl a great rivalry. (also what makes it so gut wrenchingly hard to watch each year!)

We are their super bowl every year, so I don't think it's insanely surprising.

LHM, again, this is a thread about Auburn looking up to Alabama. You are more than welcome to start a thread concerning Mississippi State if you would like.

Football is important but so is academics. Auburn is ranked much higher than Bama in academics. Athletically, Auburn is historically more successful in Basketball and at the Olympics. Not everything is about Football.

The Iron Bowl is the biggest regular season event in CFB and Auburn is pretty competitive. Actually, it’s fun to be the underdog/challenger/spoiler more recently (and Saban won’t be around forever), most Hollywood movies are based on underdog stories (the good guys). Besides, Auburn is still a big player, so it’s all good.

So how do you feel about Ole Miss?

The Alabama poster who was a swimmer for UA (MoarKilometers) for one

And you realize there's a lot more to the Olympics than swimming, right?

I really don't know that Auburn has had more success at the Olympics in those sports, but they all matter...to somebody even if you only care about one sport.

I think most Auburn fans can take a bit of hope Year after year though of knowing that in those seasons where we are able to field a half way decent team, that we always will have some kind of chance to win the game - that is why so many Auburn fans love Kick Six - because we can’t compare our trophy cases, but we can look at those great past performances where we were able to win

Auburn has always had those wins that are never forgotten against us. Kick Six, the sack game, Camback etc. Seems the Auburn wins happen in heartbreaking fashion for us Bama fans.
