It's a shame that Ole Miss let a few blacks dictate the exit of Col Rebel
You're disgusting, you know that.
And, for what it's worth, there are all types of people who saw the removal of Colonel Reb as a good thing.

The "culture" of the Old South is a myth, plain and simple.
If you're white and Southern, you're very unlikely to descend from the genteel, wealthy, gentlemen planters so often glorified by the "Old South" types. You're much more likely to have descended from either poor immigrants which came to the US around the time of the Civil War or poor, white, subsistence squatters who were poorer than shite, lived short, miserable lives before they caught dysentery and shite themselves to death.
There wasn't some magical way of life back then. There just wasn't.

I think what he's trying to say is that, he doesn't support Col. Reb, but if it makes OM look stupid, he's all for it.
And I agree.
That's the most reasoned approach a State fan can take.

He's an obvious troll. With your time on TD I would think you would have recognized that by now.

It is bad for the whole state. I mean MS looks bad enough without something stupid like this that will likely make national news.
State grad ... living in Virginia.
Ran into a 80ish year old couple in Williamsburg this weekend and the gentleman had a navy polo with the Colonel on the collar.
We had good discussions about Mississippi but when I asked about the 'new' bear mascot, both were totally disgusted.
quote:
"Old times they are not forgotten"
"My" generation grew up with him and want him back ... the 'bear' only highlights the differences.
It was actually "better" to have no mascot than to bring the bear into the fight.

I do not think he's a troll. I do think that he's an antagonist, but a troll is someone who does that for the lulz.
I think that Bobby Moore really is just that fricking stupid.

Imagine that! Old white people are fans of the Colonel!
Care to hit us with any other windfall discoveries today?
