What I will never understand is if Mcqueary saw what he saw, why didn't he beat Sandusky to a pulp right there.

Maybe he really didn't believe what he saw. Maybe because S was a coordinator and he was just an assistant. I believe this will haunt him the rest of his life. It's sad he depended on the right people to do something about it and they didn't. Maybe he should have followed up on it.....sad

I'd renounce my fandom without question. Best friend in China went there and now completely and entirely renounces the school and is sickened by what happened. I'd probably jump on the Bama bandwagon since a lot of my family has gone there anyway.

"Man that sucks. Moving on." Why? Because I don't believe all of the crap they spew about JoePa. I believe Sandusky is guilty, but they're using it to ruin Joe Paterno's good name, when he did nothing wrong. Bad media. Bad.

I hope you haven't read this article to think something like that: LINK

If you still think that, then you are a horrible and stupid human being.

the South, the real question is whether or not we would have had a trial or a public lynch mob.

Seriously. We might wink, turn our heads or actively defend bending, hey, even breaking recruiting rules and doing whatever to keep a dumb as a stump athlete eligible, but we don't tolerate or defend child molesters, even those who wear our school colors.

This is the part that I will never understand.
Mcqueary was not a child, he was 26-27 yrs old at the time, and all he could do was run to his father. What about the child this was happening to at the time? It's not like he would have had to fight the guy, Sandusky is obviously a coward and he would have ran before he would have fought.
To me Mcqueary should have been brought up on charges for leaving this child. Was he so worried about his job that he didn't help the child? Did he become an assistant coach because he didn't press the issue? To me he is also a big sleeze for being cowardly.

If I were a student, I think I'd have to transfer. It would make me sick, but I couldnt stay.

As an Alum, after vomiting, I think that I would want the entire place cleaned out. Athletic department, senior administration and the BOD.
