LSU has lined up under center on 24% of its plays so far this season.

This is a much lower rate than a Les Miles ran offense (2015 LSU ran almost exactly 50% of its plays from under center).

But LSU, still, has a ways to go to catch up with the rest of the nation... During that 2015 season, they were 17th in the country in % of plays ran from under center... This season, though they've ran 24% of its plays from under center, they are ranked 18th in the nation for the highest rate (Interesting side note: Only 6 teams in the top 20 are 2-0).

With that said, are you pleased with O/E's commitment to try to spread the defenses out? I know the execution may not be there just yet, but is it a step in the right direction?

*NOTE*
I only saw like 3 highlights of the Southeastern Louisiana game... So, if I'm completely off base here, I apologize. Just trying to create solid discussion.

Where do you find these stats? Seems like a hard stat to keep up with because this wouldn't be in the stat book.

As of last night, no. In the Miami game, they threw downfield successfully, called slants, crossing routes, etc. I liked what I saw even with going conservative in the 2nd half.

Yesterday was Miles ball with 2 WR routes, no slants, no screens, no crossing routes, no play-action and repetitive plays that all looked the same with no open WRs. It's possible they just called the most boring game ever that wasn't very effective, but Ensminger doesn't strike me as the type to spice things up much. With last night's offense, LSU can't challenge for the West. But we'll know more even if they lose to Auburn by what kind of plays are called on offense. They are very inexperienced as a group, but very talented at WR and could do damage with the right play calling.

their qb seems pretty good this year, by season's end my Aggies should be ready.
