Let's see if the NCAA let's Smart slide like they do Saban when his staff starts getting busted for paying players.

Give Kirby credit. He was smart enough not to beat bama and go the way of Ole Miss. I bet he figures in time he'll catch a non-bama playoff.

Comparing losing Eason for Fromm to Auburn losing KJ for a RB who weighs 181 soaking wet with his winter coat on is silly.

So maybe he isn't a 8 win coach?

In his 5 years at Auburn he averages 9 wins and 4 losses.

He may not be an 8 win coach, but he is certainly a 4 loss coach.
Thank goodness for 2013 when he only lost 2 games.

Things are tougher on the west side of the SEC...you should know this with the losing record you managed to accumulate with that GOAT team this year.

National championships must be afterthoughts to Georgia as well. Probably explains why you haven't won one since the Jimmy Carter administration

I am guessing that losing one player crushes Auburn's season? That's not too good, when your coach asks that one player to run the ball 30+ times a game. Who's fault is it that he lost his only weapon? My next question is what happened in 2017? Was Kerryon Johnson hurt then, too?

Yeah, and he won the SEC and the Rose Bowl. Auburn lost to UCF, but congrats. I know us losing to Alabama in the National Championship game made your 4 loss year a lot better.

What were the really amazingly great west teams this year, outside of Bama?

If we could come up against Auburn every year in the title game we wouldn't even worry about it.

Georgia's greatest team in the last 35 years would have finished in 3rd place in the western division. That is straight hilarious

Yeah, we won one in 1980. Auburn has won one since 1980, too.

Ummm....we beat Auburn for the SEC Championship. We beat Mississippi State. When a 4 loss team can win the West, then the west is not all that, now is it?

You guys are full of moral victories and what ifs tonight, aren't you? Your trolls aren't working out real swell for you.

He didn't get hurt because he ran the ball 30 times a game. He took a hit that injured him.

We went 10-4 in 2017. Won the west, played in the SECCG without 3 primary defenders and our best offensive weapon playing at 44%. Then laid an egg in the Peach Bowl cause IMO nobody at Auburn wanted to be there. We also had a winning record against the West in the SEC.

That's exactly what is happening. tehy have given up on Alabama. They know they can never match Alabama, so now their big hope is to keep Georgia semi close.

We have the same number of National Championships
More SEC Championships
More head to head victories
More all time wins
More Bowl appearances
More bowl victories

They have very little to fall back on these days. they will become Vanderbilt rivals very soon....at least they have a .500 record against Vandy.
