HAHA, got me. I do love how every kid that can run and throw (kind of) that aTm recruits is the next JM...
Just like how every undersized DB LSU recruits is the next TM7?

Like Hardeman? See how that worked out..... I guess I dont see that as much as you, but I lurk on the recruiting board, not the rant....

I was listening to SiriusXM College Sports last week and an aTm fan called in talking about how awesome Davis was and how "the aggies wouldn't miss a beat without Manziel and might even be better with Davis." Said he was more athletic with a bigger arm. Serious as a heart attack
a lot of Aggies became enamored with him when he took to twitter to try and keep recruits from jumping during the switch from Sherman to Sumlin.

Any word on where he will end up? I remember when he was a big LSU target, but have not heard much about him since he got to aTm. SFA, Rice, SMU, some place like that?

he's going to Tyler Junior College for this year. He'll enroll at a D1 school in January.

I get this, but no speculation on said D1 school yet?

Oh I get it because everyone has been saying LSU is in decline. YOU RASCAL!

Love Matt D but he made the right choice for him. Tremendous physical skills but just wasn't able to make the reads and throws necessary to win that job at A&M. He could do very well somewhere that let's him just be an athlete/QB. Great kid and great leader.
I would never bet against Kevin Murray's son. Kyler may be a bit undersized as a 15 year old but his Dad was one of the best I've ever seen (and that was after he broke his ankle and couldn't really run anymore). Pops was 2 Time SWC Player of the Year and 2 Time 2nd Team AA, he also was SWC Newcomer of the Year as a Frosh and led the league in Total O before breaking his ankle at the beginning of his Sophomore season.
He runs a QB camp and has tutored his son since he could throw a football. Kyler's got a trigger release already and his arm strength will grow, his mechanics are amazing and he has got serious wheels (ran for 2 TD's of 60+ in that Championship game).

quote:whoah there Tiger.... no one is betting against the kid. His mechanics are honestly not nearly "amazing" IMO like you say and his arm is not really that strong. I am pumped he is the QB for Allen and hope he stays there the next two year. I just honestly do not see him staying there when he heads to college. I think he is going to be an absolutely ELITE DB or WR, preferably WR.
I would never bet against Kevin Murray's son.

Taylor Hamm posted that Davis has had "two prominent Big12 schools express interest as well as an SEC school that he was recruited by hard in high school."

Thanks. I would not think we were asking about the kid with who we have on roster, but you never know. I wonder if Kingsburry or Briles are knocking?

AUBURN ???
I must have missed that they were on him hard, but makes complete sense....

They were after him very hard from what I remember, and that would have been when Malzahn was there
