Anyone here have a HI account? There was a thread about TJ Cleveland and it was took down faster than a Arkansas thread on the Tiger Rant.

I agree there are better coaches than MA. The question is if Turgeon is staying at A&M are any of these coaches on our list?
I like Greg Marshall. He doesn't have the resume of some others but his team looks fundamentally sound. I go off of what I see, and I like what I see with Marshall's team. I wish we were a good fit for that kid at Butler, he's an excellent coach.

He has more losses than we did this year. Sorry, I don't like 13-14 losses a year.
dude, its the big east and he's at marquette. He is doing every bit as well as tom crean did in the big east.
Remember how bad we were on the road with pel?
How many road games did mizzou win this year?

I like that he is a proven winner at two schools and been to the NCAA's regularly. He is potentially, a Sutton type hire IMO.

Someone on the 'ville is yammering for Pitino. Am I the only one who hates that hire. I'm not satisfied with Mike or "Buzz" (really, "Buzz") but I hate a Pitino hire.
Is it really too much to ask for a coach who isn't over the hill or an up and comer?
Gregg Marshall is the answer...

Exactly. Which is better? Paying a high risk coach 1.5-2 mil and then giving him a raise to 2.5 if he does well or going ahead and paying a sure thing 2.5 mil to make sure you don't spend another decade sucking.
If you are the big time program you think you are, pay a competitive salary and hire a big name coach. Anderson has been successful everywhere he has been and you don't have to worry about him using Arkansas as a stepping stone.

If you know anything about how Crean has done at Indiana, you would know this isn't a convincing argument...

Buzz and Mike's career road win percentage is similar, Mike has been doing it 3 times longer...
But lets make a hire based off of one week or one year and end up with another Heath or Pel...

Marquette didn't exactly light it up this year with a 3-9 road record.

Those assuming Mike Anderson is staying at Mizzou are jumping the gun. Could be, yes. But there's a lot going on

They got raped by the ncaa cause of kelvin sampson. no one is fixing indiana in three years. tom crean is held pretty high in coaching circles

The way HA has been spouting off and "gloating" today, if Mike decides to come to Arkansas, if the state is quite enough after the announcement, you just may be able to hear the sound of the gun hit the floor in HA mom's basement...
