Depends on what he's asking for. The 2.6 million for 7 years some are reporting isn't realistic. There would be a major meltdown if we paid him that and signed him for that long.
This may not be salary but buyout/length of contract related. Then again it may be Jeff Long trying to look like he's giving it the old college try when he really is looking to make Sexton the scapegoat and move on to who he wants to hire.

Regarding Mike Anderson speculation: It's my understanding that if Arkansas hits an asking price, he's calling the Hogs. #breakthebank?

If Buzz is the backup plan.....I think I'd rather just hire Gregg Marshall and be done with it.
