Nobody is going to satisfy 100 percent of any fanbase.

There are still people in Arkansas who love Nutt and hate Petrino.

I'd say Nolan's support is near 85% at this point.

MA will have the support of 90% of the fanbase. If he wins, he'll have damned near 100%.

Almost ALL hog fans I know don't ever call him "Nolan 2.0" or anything like that. They know he is his own man, and has been very successful. Only people that ever bring that up is the people who still despise Nolan for whatever reason.

I fall into the almost category. I called MA, Nolan 2.0 for one reason, that being MA learned a lot from Nolan in his years spent with him.

I have a lot of respect for Nolan, but no respect for how Frank treated him.

I was there in Nolan's first 2 years when he wasn't popular with Hog fans, in Barnhill when we torched KState 112-88, in Charlotte in 1994 and in BWA for the last time he walked onto the court.

Yup I supported Nolan til the bitter end.

If MA is our new coach, I believe he can accomplish the same things Nolan did at Arkansas being "his own man"

Yeah, and as a sad as it is in 2011, his support will increase as some of the older fans die off...

Nolan was right when he said that, paraphrasing, when Pitino brought out a team that pressed the whole game it was thought to be innovative and good basketball, when Nolan brought out a team that pressed the whole game it was call n*($#@ ball...

Roy Williams will never be a good coach on his own, he is Dean2.0.

I don't think I can agree with this, his own coaching record can stand up to anyones. He has the same amount of NCAA NC's at N.C. as Dean does.

The only time I was ever "mad" at Nolan was his presser when he made a demand I knew a certain booster would write the check to fulfill...

Of course Nolan played a huge part in Mike's coaching, 20+ years as a player and assistant will do that. What I have noticed is some say want to credit Nolan for Mike's success and Mike for his failures as well as Nolan's last few years that were considered a failure and the theory that Mike was the head coach then or some crap...

Oh and to put it in perspective, Buzz, F. Martin, Turgeon, Doc Saddler, and Jeremy Cox have all said to be a more proven coach than Mike Anderson there...

I can relate and agree with this statement.

I may crack a new bootle of Booker's and read it again.

Yeah, he is currently an assistant on Stan Heath's staff...

Oh and also Mike isn't a good coach because he lost in the first round...

And if hired you he is "unfireable" here...

Looks like the media jumped the gun again. People are backing off the story quickly now.

Gayle's son was my Highschool coach. Was a great coach of fundamentals.
