I don't think its a case of us not trying to get Mike. Its more of a question of will he come. I think if he 100% wanted to be at Arkansas then he will be announced asap. Its a big risk/reward situation for him and I could easily see him just not wanting to come back.

I guess. If I were the coach at Mizzou I would crawl to Fayetteville but I guess that's just me.

I think Anderson can't win jere. If he does win it will always be Richardson's system Richardson's style etc. If he starts losing or is mediocre he isn't good enough. While at MU he will never eclipse Norm, he atleast can carve out his own niche and he is the guy that consolidated the KC STL Mid Mo Tiger fans, he hasn't converted the Southern versions as they relate him to Richardson still.

MU HOOPS > MU Football which is why MU basketball is a better job.

Just in terms of basketball and History of the conferences MU is a better job. I didn't say it paid more, but it's a better job to have as a basketball coach

Why? just curious i know it isn't money facilities or recruiting base. I also know it isn't better history wise so what makes it a better job?

MU has a great history. MU right now is better shape. MU is basketball first school. MU has the better historical rivalries. MU has newer facilities. MU has bigger metro areas to recruit from locally and reaches into bigger areas nationally in media, Colorado leaving hurts though by removing Denver.

No excuse for Arky to not hire Mike Anderson unless you get a bite from someone better.

I hope we get someone better. Mike's teams have significant flaws.

Yes but we aren't in awful shape, the correct coach could keep our recruiting class and win the SEC next year.

Arkansas puts football and basketball equal and in first place, both sports get plenty of attention.

We have little Rock, Memphis, Tulsa, also we have a history of recruiting well in St. Louis. so this is a push at best. Arkansas top 11 all time program, MU isn't....

He can't. He'll always be overshadowed by Nolan's teams.

The problem for Mike is he didn't get the best players out of MO this year. Those benefits you are listing are not working for him, at least right now.

I don't think we do, TBH. We're football first.

I HATE MU but I know the history of the program since I went to school and worked for a college in Missouri.

I thought this to for awhile but to be honest on campus and talking around fayetteville you'd be surprised how much sucking at basketball affects the students, very few if any football first schools put near the focus we do on basketball.

He's from the Nam and has some bad history with some in the Athletic Dept (or were in the dept). He's not the first one with this story that I know, though. College athletics is like hot dogs, you just want the final product and not know anything about production.
