Unless your team is in a high profile game like Bama vs. Georgia, they are going to get a lower tier ref crew.
Stankey must have threatened the heck out of the refs after the OU vs Auburn debacle because they were throwing flags on every ticky tack penalty Saturday.
Yeah presnap penalties like false starts have to be called there is little judegement required.
But Stankey needs to start doing his job and schedule some mid week ref training even if we are in the middle of the season.
Fans are paying good money for tickets and deserve better refs.

The penalties during our game were absolutely ridiculous. There's got to be some monetary incentives happening from the TV contracts to make the games as long as possible.

Have you considered throwing shite on the field?
I don’t know, but it seemed to help.

I couldn’t tell if the SEC was trying to showcase a football game or start a reality tv series about officials. It seems the conference goes from one extreme to the other each week but never can seem to get it right.

The SEC should set the standard on modern officiating crews.
I'm honestly surprised at how terrible they are on average.

It's not surprising. None of these conferences want to step up and address it.They refuse to hire these officials full time and continue to rely on insurance agents and science teachers to fill these roles.

Exactly! NCAA football is a $1,400,000,000 revenue business…they can afford to pay for full time professional referees for Div 1 football.

These referees are terrible. They were several bad calls in the Tennessee Mississippi State game.

I did hear somebody had a good idea that the ACC the referees are wearing microphones. So you can tell why they threw the flag. I think the SEC referees needed to be wearing microphones too.
