Clemson@Tamu seems to have more national appeal and CBS rarely gets a chance to show Clemson.

OOC vs other P5 is going to be ugly after week 2.

True. Not sure CBS wants to showcase an acc team when it has a good rivalry game. Esp one involving uga

I love college football as much as the next person but a 7 month in advance prediction of game times is a little excessive even for me.

Man I hope not, it's going to be a million degrees.

I could just as easily see the game in Orlando being a 5:30pm kickoff. I don’t think the games in Charlotte or Orlando would be a 3:30 kick because abc usually shows a big ten team in that time slot on opening day. So, I expect OregonSt@Ohio st or Texas-Maryland in that afternoon time slot.

You post all this and don't even give us the Vegas lines or spreads? I'd take Charleston Southern@UF at 4:00 p.m. in a heartbeat. It looks to be a 3:30 p.m. matchup. But I need the lines and spreads. If the spread is more than 29 minutes, I lay money to cover.

No way Bama kicks at noon. Definitely 5:30 ESPN or later

Noon, absolutely not. But it could conceivably be an afternoon game, 3:30 ET; Lamar's departure and the ridiculously large spread makes this a less-enticing game for ESPN even with Bama as defending national champs. In all likelihood, fewer people will be checking in to see if Bama gets upset than they have in previous season openers against teams that had a puncher's chance. It doesn't look like UL does.

Do CBS games even start that early in the season? I feel like they wait till the US Open is over.

Also, whens the last time CBS showed a non SEC game during the reg season (when it wasn't Army Navy or a Bowl game)

CBS lost the us open in 2015 so they started sub licensing games from Espn for weeks 1 and 2.

2015 week 1 cbs aired auburn-Louisville
2016 week 1 cbs aired UCLA@Tamu
2017 week 2 cbs aired TCU@Ark

Cbs airs Nd-navy every other year. This year those two are playing in San Diego on oct 27 so I don’t know if cbs will move the cocktail party from 3:30 or airs ND-Navy at night
