Another 5/6 season for LSU at best.

Somebody as dumb as you has predicted 6 losses for LSU every year since the internet was invented. Congratulations, you and your autistic friends were finally right last year. All it took was Ed Orgeron checking out.

If LSU has a winning record next year and looks competently coached, most fans will be ok. Ask us next year though, and the answer will be very different.

Ed O built up a culture from 16-19 where they improved every year. He then promptly began to believe his shite didn’t stink and that he was a football god, and destroyed it in 2 years.

Kelly gets two years to build it back. If there are no real improvements at the end of year 2, people will start worrying ie uncontrolled melting anywhere, everywhere, all the time.

Sept. 4: vs. Florida State Seminoles (New Orleans) W
Sept. 10: vs. Southern Jaguars W
Sept. 17: vs. Mississippi State Bulldogs Toss up
Sept. 24: vs. New Mexico Lobos W
Oct. 1: at Auburn Tigers (Auburn, AL) W
Oct. 8: vs. Tennessee Volunteers Toss up
Oct. 15: at Florida Gators (Gainesville, FL) W
Oct. 22: vs. Ole Miss Rebels Toss up
Oct. 29: Open Week
Nov. 5: vs. Alabama Crimson Tide L
Nov. 12: at Arkansas Razorbacks (Fayetteville, AR) Toss up
Nov. 19: vs. UAB Blazers W
Nov. 26: at Texas A&M Aggies (College Station, TX) W

If we go 50/50 on the toss ups we could potentially go 9-3 but we could also go 7-5 ... I'll stick with 8-4 and I would be damn happy about it too.

Win
Win
Win (home game)
Win
Win (As much of a dumpster fire as we were, Auburn currently is)
Toss up
Toss up, but I think win for similar reasons to Auburn
Loss, but a win wouldn’t shock me as they replace a metric frick ton, which is twice the British imperial frick ton
Loss
Loss, At Arkansas and they are setting a very sol is foundation
Win
Win, frick you aTm. That’s my analysis for this game

So I have 3 losses and two toss ups. I think if Kelly goes 7-5 but shows improvement we won’t be ready to jump off the cliff just yet. Anything by better and we are happy for year 1

I'm calling both Florida State and Ole Miss toss-ups. They're both as hot as LSU on transfers.

Brian Kelly is a better X's and O's coach than what some realize.

How patient will LSU fans be with a bad first Kelly season? I see 5 probable losses there and likely 6.

We won 6 games with lame duck Ed O and a team full of backups and walk ons.

Kelly will be better than that year 1. No he won’t win the SECw and the team is not remotely a playoff contender

But, I think first year will be 8-4. A 2 win improvement from last year seems very reasonable. Maybe if everything breaks the right way 9-3.

4-8. Losses in bold.

It is funny as shite how every year, everyone tries to predict LSU’s w/L record and without fail anyone that’s not a Tiger, always predicts that we get L’s against UF and TAMU. Every year. Without fail.
But we somehow keep winning those games. Even our shittiest and historically worse seasons include dubs against the Gators.
Wonder what it will take for people
to stop predicting those games as an L..
- Same with Tennessee. No way Tennessee comes into Death Valley and walks away a winner. They aren’t quite there yet. Granted I like Huepel and think he has them on a great track, they still aren’t quite “W in a night game at Death Valley” yet.
- Miss St, I think we win again. The loss to them in 2020 was a fluke and order was restored last season. We will get right back on track with our yearly guranteed conference win vs Miss St…. They have beaten us a whooping 3 times since 2000. 6 times since 1990.
- Auburn for some reason is always a toss up game, they are like LSU’s kryptonite. Even BDJ and that 2019 team had to fight for a tough W against Auburn.
- Ole Miss I will wait to predict this game after I see this Dart dude play some snaps. I know if he hadn’t transferred there then I’d say we beat Ole Piss, but if what I’m hearing abt this Dart kid is true and he might be even better than Corral, then it will be a tough game. Ole Piss was a good team bc of Corral.
- Arkansas is a W. Their best team that they rant and rave about from last year; it took 3 turnovers, playing our backup qb all game for some reason, and a very rare missed Fg by Cade York; all of that just to force OT. Backup Qb throws an INT on 2nd down of Overtime and the hogs get to escape Death Valley winning by a FG. A game that LSU did pretty much everything it could to NOT win, still required OT to only win by a FG. Which had York not missed his FG earlier in the game, there wouldn’t have even been OT and Arkansas would’ve gotten the L… so I’m confident we can beat them this year.

So I’m predicting 9-3… that’s with giving the auburn and OM toss up games, a loss.
If we win those games I wouldn’t be surprised to see 11-1. Only loss being from Bama of course as usual.
