That’s a scary thing to happen. Glad there wasn’t swelling that caused airway constriction.
Soft tissue neck injuries are almost always pretty rough. That poor hockey goalie that got sliced in the NHL. That was incredible he lived.

I would probably add militant as a qualifier. I’m not an atheist but I have to assume a large number of them wouldn’t criticize someone asking for prayer in a situation like this.
Hope the kid is alright.

Yes there was a doctor on site. Who said there wasn’t?

LSU has actual paramedics at all sporting events. The fact the boy collapsed twice and he had trainers, he should have been on a stretcher with a neck brace til they figured out what was truly wrong. Disgusting actually as an LSU fan where hundreds of people were asking where EMS was.
I hope the young man gets better as soon as possible, it’s a miracle he didnt get hit and displace a C vert. Ball bouncing saved his career.
93 to the throat from a pitcher is much more dangerous than one that bounces. So grateful for him being okay!

This is welcome news, that was a scary looking injury, I am glad it looked worse than it was...
