wasn't the rumor before the clemson game that auburn was gonna crack out the blue helmets and blue pants for the blue out but your alumni had a shite fit

it was pretty awful. truth be told from what I heard we weren't supposed to wear those in 2009 but in instead they were meant for 2008.
the plan was to beat bammer in our black jerseys for the black out and then when we played UF either have another blackout or the plan was to wear all black. Black jerseys, black pants, black helmets.
but as we all know uga forgot how to play football against bama and so when ga/fla rolled around they thought better of it. so in 2009 mark sees we still having those wretched helmets and bad arse pants just sitting there and thought to himself "shite i can't motivate our crap team, frick it lets do the jersey thing again, that'll work" and boom you got grambling

The moment I saw our players running out of the tunnel, I said to myself "well, there goes the ballgame". Horrible, absolutely horrible. I really didn't think it was possible to ruin Red, Black and Silver. Boy was I wrong.

it was a rumor because of this picture
and the fact that they wanted the fans to all wear blue. im glad we stuck to our traditional unis, and hope we never get any alternates

the pants and the jerseys are great. but those helmets, whoever designed those should be murdered. now we are afraid to ever bring out the black jerseys again despite being 2-1 in them. shite, ND brings out the gold and they have an awful record in them
and back to my auburn question, any yall rememeber the rumors yall were going to wear blue? i remember seeing this picture when people were trying to guess it

frick that Jim Donnan helmet. He added that black stripe when he came in 1996. All hell broke loose.

They couldn't have had a single white line on the helmet when Quincy Carter was there, he would have tried to snort it.
