Since more teams make playoffs its very possible we see way less coaching turnover. Schools will be happy to claim playoffs which will take some pressure off firings. Will change pool of available coaches so schools will have to pay bigger buyouts to get their coach if wanting to change. And schools will make buyouts bigger/harder.

In bowl games there were tons of players opting out. What will players do if say ranked bottom 14 in playoffs (15-24? Will they play? Will they demand more money? Interesting situation because the trend has been many players jumping in portal or opting out of bowl games (not playoffs). With expanded playoffs more teams might have to deal with this issue if 15-24 slot.

Players and schools will likely build in playoff bonuses. This helps push the players and also keeps them from opting out like many did for bowl games. If you have dollar incentives to win a playoff game gradually increasing, that should help. Players will also demand more money for playoff participation. NCAA would be smart to come up with money to offer player one time bonuses to play. Would have to get from TV funds though which will be hard.

Since more teams qualify, will we see teams start resting players late season. If team is assured a spot they might rest key players. This could also impact late season conference games. SEC might want to avoid using last week as rivalry week and put them earlier by a few weeks. Mainly to avoid any resting players and devaluing the games.

It is just taking the place of making a bowl. A 6 win season; playoff won't save you.

It will be “I have a better chance at a higher seeding if I leave.” This 24 team playoff is insanely stupid.
