Interesting opinion from one whose team did not even play South Carolina, but saw Davis run for 150+ (5.1 avg) yds against the Tigers.
Not questioning your opinion, everybody has a right to their own, just find it interesting.

Trent will show his stuff behind a veteran OL and will go in the top 20 in the 2012 draft.

Lattimore > Davis
The Best SEC Players of 2010
1. QB Cam Newton, Jr. Auburn
2. DT Nick Fairley, Jr. Auburn
3. RB Marcus Lattimore, Fr. So. Carolina
4. QB Ryan Mallett, Jr. Arkansas
5. LB Danny Trevathan, Jr. Kentucky
6. CB/KR Patrick Peterson, Jr. LSU
7. WR Alshon Jeffery, Soph. So. Carolina
8. RB Knile Davis, Soph. Arkansas
According to the Coaches, Lattimore > Davis
FIRST-TEAM ALL-SEC -- OFFENSE
RB Marcus Lattimore South Carolina 6-0 218 Fr. Duncan, S.C.
RB Stevan Ridley LSU 6-0 226 Jr. Natchez, Miss.
So Lattimore produced more yards, more touchdowns, and was considered better by the coaches in the SEC.

3900 yards of offense.
you just don't replace that with "scheme".
How many SEC championships has Petrino actually won?
How many BCS bowl games?
You better get Cam Newton over there or your assess will be the consistent 3rd in the west once again.

Saw what both did against Bama. The measuring stick at which all SEC backs are compared to.

Never once said anything negative about him. I really didn't know much about him until these last 2 years. From what I saw, he is VERY talented.

Knile got like 7 carries and average over 6 yards per touch...we were still waiting for the right guy to step up...see what happened when he started getting the rock

Lattimore had damn near 100 yards rushing on Alabama and had 3 tds. Davis only had 42 yards

He was a true soph this past season

Davis wasn't even carrying the ball that much when Arkansas played Bama. Broderick "Puddin" Green and Wingo were still getting a lot of PT.
It's funny that this thread is still going. This will be a LONG offseason.

Yes, 17 more carries tends to get you more yards.

what's your point? If Davis would have gotten 40 more carries like Latt, I doubt this wouldn't have been a discussion

Irrelevent.
Marcus Lattimore (born October 29, 1991)
Knile Davis (born October 5, 1991) Evidently Knile is a bright kid.

Both are the same age.

Mallett was not a soph????? I was commenting on someone who said something about him.
Don't know much about Daivs except what I have read and watching the LSU game. He looked solid. Not in the DMAC class though.

None of them are DMAC, at least yet. If DMAC was at FL, LSU or Bama he'd have a Heisman or 2.

Don't over analyze the situation.
It is Lat by good margin.
