Davis has power and homerun ability...

He also had a top 10 pick at QB where the pass often set-up the run. he will not have thia this season.

You're the biggest idiot on this board.

Let's bet $500 on the Ark/SCar game next year and who will have the most rushing yards. Davis or Lattimore at double or nothing.

Again, you are like an out of place jackhammer in a metric socket set.

You probably would not want to bet on this... Davis will not have the season he had last year since your QB will not be there to keep the opposing D from stacking the box.
Regardless of what you think about Latt. , most teams stacked the box to stop him and he still had those ypc. Plus he was hurt for part of the year.

Quite possible you're right about Davis. Until whomever the Ark. QB winds up being earns the respect of opposing defenses expect them to routinely put 8 close to the line. Now if the passing game opens up... I would have to say though, that in several of USCe's games the passing game clicked pretty good and those were the games(not coincidentally) that ML really blew up. A successful play-action game makes the linebackers and safeties hesitate for just a fraction before attacking the line.

Our offense will be better next year than this past season. Tyler Wilson is much more mobile than Mallett and has enough arm to be very productive in a Petrino offense.

Davis will get 1200 next season

not sure what you mean. what I meant was Joe Addia looks a hell of a lot better when Peyton has it going. Arky will pass the ball, but will it be with as much accuracy, intensity and yes put fear in opposing D like they did this one. Mallett was that freakin good. You game plan to slow/stop him, not the arky run game.

Arkansas will never have to worry about being able to open up the pass with a Petrino QB.

It is not about "opening up the passing game" as it is about the effeciency of the passing game and scheming to stop both. With a less heady QB or one that doesn't have the quick release or touch like Mallet, it is easier to game plan for by putting more people in the box and blitzing accordingly.

I see a lot of run blitz's in the fture against this team already especially if they run a spread/option type QB out there this year.
Mallet was the most accurate college QB I ever saw. NOBODY, not Mannig, Ken Obrien, Bernie Kosar, NO ONE was as good at throwing fades, back shoulder throws or those freakin 30 yard post routes as this guy in College. He is going to make some NFL Coach VERY HAPPY.

You game plan to stop Petrino's O...He's had successful QB's at every stop...We have the leading rusher in the SEC returning...

Based on this past year, I'll go

1) Lattimore
2) Dyer
3) Davis
4) Richardson

With my x factor being Spencer Ware.

I thought he was an inaccurate, non-decision making meth-head...not your words, but this is bout 80% of the discussion on him

Wow. You've got a top 5 QB entering the draft, and yet your next QB is already better than him?

Please.

And Hogs, Davis' numbers are aided by the passing game. There is no way around it. Lattimore, on the other hand, was the engine of his team. Davis did not carry Arkansas like Lattimore carried South Carolina.

When the QB is that good, it is a different O altogether.
LSU and Arky will play close games - given. Arky will have trouble against Bama - Given.
Bama will stop the run - Given.
Why does LSU have problems with Arky? It is about defensive philosophy of Chavis - bend, but don't break.
Well he will be much more aggressive against a less QB than Mallet. (3800+ yards last season)
YOU WILL MISS THOSE BACK SHOULDER THROWS AND FADES THIS YEAR.
YOU just don't replace a Heisman type QB with someone less adn your O doesn't take a hit.
You will never make me believe this.
The back from AU will suffer as well because of Cam being gone.

FWIW..Cam was the leading rusher in 2010. With that said, I know what you mean...

Tyler Wilson: 4 TDs, 3 INTs

But yeah....he's already better than Mallett.

He didn't say that...we will have a mobile QB, not a statue in the pocket

This is the dumbest freaking argument...Davis was the reason we finished winning 6 in a row to end the season

Do you remember when Rohan finished? I WISH we had him the past 3 seasons.
