Their ploy worked exactly as expected, Sumlin getting national attention and sympathy.

doesn't matter what I think about it being real or not but I think it's crappy for her to make this public. imo, this is a grab for sympathy to protect her husbands job and that's not right. I mean, one fan? c'mon, being black coach sumlin has had to have much worse said to him in the past.
imo, there is no way A&M should be held responsible for this nor should there be any personal apologies from the university who had nothing to do with it.
mrs. sumlin making a racial issue about one letter at this time is an overt effort to extort something from somebody. ALL coaches get hate mail. ALL COACHES. i'm sorry it happened but this reaction is much worse, imo

Incorrect.
That barcode is put on by the sender, and not the post office
There are 3 types of barcodes
PLANET
POSTNET
Intelligent Mail
Intelligent Mail barcodes (which that one is) is APPLIED TO THE ENVELOPE BY THE SENDER
It is very easy to find where it originated from (Sumlin's zip and subzip) and it also has the sender's ID embedded in the code
Any tard with a badge can find out who the envelope belongs to
