The reason teams have been left out is to piss fan bases off and to justify expanding to 16. It was intentional think alabama 2011. Then it happens again in 4 teams. Why did we skip 8? Went to 12 and now 16 looks like more money.

I hope there is no more expansion.

The regular season has already been made much less important with 12 teams making it. UGA vs Ole Miss and UGA vs Bama in the regular season in the 4 team or 2 team playoffs would be very close to elimination games.... but all three teams made the playoff this year so did they matter all that much?

I don't watch college basketball games until the NCAA tournament... and I often skip that if my team isn't in the field (which for UGA is most of the time). I don't really want football to go any further in that direction.

Notre Dame has misplaced anger issues. It wasn’t the ACC or Bama or Miami that cost them a spot. It was the playoff format allowing non P-4 teams with weak schedules in. Does anyone think Tulane and JMU are top 12 teams?

Look expand to 16, but get rid of the conference championship games.

But you could expand to 64 teams and someone will be butthurt.

Too late for that. It's about to happen. And it'll be in effect as soon as next year.
