Get all 5 conference champs

You could have an unranked 6-6 conference champ get in.

I’d be willing to risk it.

Why in the hell do so many of you want an 8 team playoff? We've already got an undeserving Ohio State and Alabama campaigning for a spot in a 4 team one. Besides, we already have an 8 team playoff if you'd just pay attention. Round one is today! It's called the conference championship round.

It all comes back to one thing: WIN YOUR frickING GAMES!

Easy to say, until your 11-1 #6-ranked non-champ team doesn't get in because a 6-6 unranked conf champ automatically does.

Better than punishing teams for playing conference championship games.

It would be a joke if bama won it all twice by losing their division and then getting a revenge game plus bonus time to rest and prepare. The team that beat them doesn't get that.. they have to slug it out against another great team and if they lose that championship game the team they beat benefits too
