As far as Petrino hiring Dorrell, I don't think that is the case. I don't think the head coach of any football program does any 'hiring', that all has to go through other official channels. Of course he picks the assistant coaches he wants, but even then it has to be officially done through the athletic directors office. I'm not sure in this case, but I doubt that the position Dorrell got is one that the head coach would normally even get involved with.

And i get wanting to retain him because he's a great coach. But how could you possibly discipline him in a way that reflects the severity of the situation? What could the University do? If any state or University employee has ever lost their job in Arkansas for similar actions, the precedent is set. Anything short of his leaving puts the University and the state in the position of treating him as an exception, and that damages them for any similar situations down the road. It goes beyond his job performance. That's why I think he'll either resign or be let go.

It's done every day by designing a very narrowly tailored disciplinary program unique to the individual. Suspension, therapy, fines/monetary penalty, mandatory time away from the program, etc..... You can make each situation unique. Do you honestly think this is the first time a subordinate lied to a supervisor at the UofA and not got fired? Not any other professor/coach or university personnell increases the school's revenue over $30 million a year.

What pisses me off at the UofA is there are many professors who are trolling for undergrad coeds or have inappropriate relationships with students. The university, the colleges, the deans, the dept heads all turn their heads and look the other way in regards to those actions.

Good riddance if that is the case.

Wait what? There's substantiated or rumor about Dallas?

I just think that the Bassett's got papers drawn up and will deliver tomorrow.

I f it gets FOI and Stephens decides to witch hunt he needs to go, for sake of program.

I'm still of opinion Stephens needs to be put in check after last storm they caused.

I'm gonna call bullshite all day and night long.

I'm fairly familiar with some football staffers and there has been absolutely nothing said about anything prior, other than with this particular female.

He person that would know is CH and he won't say a word. He was trained well by Shorty.

Eta:

I find it ironic they forced Cheyney out for this same reason that Petrino is catching some heat.
