Somebody needs to go dust off that good old Freek gif of Bobby falling off the bike.

So, I assume he hires from within?

Who are the DC's sitting on the sideline without a job right now?

Chris Wilson is the new DC

2010 Miss State: Co DC & DL coach
2011 - 2012 Miss State: DC & DL coach

Also coached DL at Colorado, Oklahoma, Georgia, USC, Philadelphia (NFL), and Arizona (NFL).

Sounds racist.

So he is the new HC. Interims don’t typically have that kind of power

It's his audition of sorts and it happened so early I think they are fine with the moves.

Oklahoma State's interim literally did the same thing, fired the DC.

Never seen firing a DC work out mid season, people say how can it get worse, but it usually do.

If he's making these types of moves, he is definitely their new permanent coach

I know the board wants this to happen because it’d be admittedly hilarious but that’s not the case. This was the worst defense I’ve ever seen at Arkansas and no one has an issue with firing them and was going to happen even if Sam had stayed.

There’s also more trust in Petrino to make these kinds of decisions than a normal interim but it doesn’t mean he’s getting the permanent spot.

Is state's former hc available now?
I think he worked at OleMiss as an analyst last season.
