Why turn it down?

never heard of a "good" reason

want to play each other so badly every year, well schedule each other as a OOC game then

don't see why they don't want it but it's a non-starter, won't even go there

No. It really doesn't. I'm going to assume you know the big 6 is. Each division has 3.
West= Alabama, Auburn and LSU
East= Georgia, Florida and TN.

If you move AU and UA to the East, 5 members of the big 6 would be in that division, leaving 1 (y'all) in the West.

I think he was saying it makes sense for Bama UT to schedule OOC vs each other if it's so important

but I could be wrong

Seriously though, why don't Bama and UT do this. Baseball does this and it works out fine.

So baseball only has 3 or 4 OOC games and they still do this just fine?

The "makes sense" comment was about Bama scheduling UT as an OOC game when they are not on the SEC schedule. Which Auburn could also do when they don't play Georgia. Again, baseball does this and it works out fine.

Oh no doubt. Geographically sound. Permanent inter-division games done away with and can do a 6-2 (6-3 when conference slate goes to 9). This allows the clubs to play everyone fairly often. Not an issue in any sport except....football. Well, let A&M, Hogs, Mizzou, MSU, etc step up and challenge. There's no rational objection to this alignment I think except LSU wouldn't have a serious West challenger at this time, but this is transitory.

The only rivals I remember is Tulane, Ole Miss and A&M. Tulane is gone, Ole Miss needs to find another gear, and A&M is resumed.

Because this is why we have a 6-1-1 instead of a 6-2.

you are not that dense

we care about the SEC schedule brah, don't give a shite about who you want to play all the time, care about a level of fairness and a full rotation of east/west is fair to all

Seriously? I'm concerned about seeing the rest of the conference more than twice every 6 years. I would like LSU to play in Athens and Columbia and Knoxville more often. This has been the LSU angle all along.

Agree on both. Plus Hogs simply need to get their Coaching staff straightened out. Jury still out on Pinkell, whether he realizes what needs to be done or not.

I will put it like this. LSU has only played Georgia, both founding members of the SEC, 29 times. That is rediculous.
