Damn that sucks for Mettenberger but the advances in surgery and rehab have lessened the impact of this injury compared to say a decade ago. Seeing that his game was never built on his mobility if NFL teams get good reports on his surgery and rehab it shouldn't drop him that far. Mettenberger has the frame, arm, and body a lot of NFL teams would bust a nut over.

The one that really has to worry is Murray. An injury such as his only compounds the other questions about him. While never a dynamic runner, a good deal of his game was built on pocket mobility so his rehab will be even more important than Metts. Then any loss of athletic ability for Murray will compound his height issue. Then there are the questions about his inability to win the big game.

Murray's injury has a much better chance of effecting his draft stock than does Mettenberger assuming that both guys fully recover.

Really difficult to hear. I feel bad for Zach, but he will make a solid NFL QB once he recovers. he did some great things for LSU, and it is always nice to see a young man grown and develop so much from year 1 to 2. At least Tigers will know what they have got at QB going into 2014. Look forward to seeing Jennings!
