Penny's handling of everything in and after that Memphis/Tennessee game was exactly what people thought he would be like as an actual coach : unprepared, immature and not ready for prime time.

And LOL at trying to get into with Rick Barnes. Rick Barnes is the godfather of coach trolling. The man didn't back down from Dean fvckin Smith while he was at CLEMSON of all places. He doesn't give 2 shites about Penny Hardaway.

Penny personifies Memphis AAU and it’s gonna be funny watching him scramble when the East pipeline runs dry

Rick Barnes is another example of not making it in the BIG12 but dominating the SEC.

Barnes had a couple good lines about this

quote:

“It was a tough game to officiate. I think the hardest part was that we’re the only sport that doesn’t have any kind of punishment for flopping. In the NBA, it’s a fine, in soccer I don’t know this but I assume it’s a fine. The refs can’t make up their own rules. There has to be some kind of way to get the flopping out of the game. I know it used to be a technical foul. I’m on the rules committee so that’s something we’ll look at.”

quote:

“Bob, (Tennessee play by play voice Bob Kesling) did you have your fists balled ready to fight their radio announcer?”

Much prefer the passive aggressive Barnes approach to Penny going full F*** you. I’m sure Barnes will have a good one liner tomorrow about this as well.

Point of contention. This is all wishful thinking. Memphis has a much richer basketball tradition that Tennessee could ever hope for. These are just the facts. And Hardaway is a young, charismatic coach.

If anything I could see a situation where Tennessee eventually loses out to Memphis for recruits. Especially when you factor the reemergence of Arkansas as a perennial powerhouse. Memphis is gonna have to scrap to steal players from both directions.

Besides, Tennessee sucks anyways and screw them.

Didn't know Memphis joined the SEC. Are they a basketball only member?

Arkansas won once in overtime at BWA and Tennessee beat the living hell out of them in the SECT.

Post season didn't count. We were distracted. Sights set on the real tournament.

This is why schools like Tennessee should not have a good basketball team

They really have no clue what they are doing

All I know is that Anfernee Hardaway is one of the greatest of all time. It makes me nervous being so near to this guy from a recruiting standpoint and Arkansas has a MUCH better program than Tennessee. It isn't even close. So if Arkansas should be worried about Penny, Penny is gonna destroy Tennessee.

This is basic logic. Keep up
