I’m wondering if Lebby has overworked our guys in pre season and in early season practice and that’s resulted in our current situation. Isn’t this a criticism of Brent Venables as well? Maybe he took that from him from his time at OU. Isn’t OU dealing with a bunch of injuries as well? I can’t make myself believe that it’s just good ole Miss State luck that literally just about every playmaker we have is hurt.

Les Miles used to rep the team hard in practice. The results were they outlasted teams in the 4th.

The mindset changed in college football toward the end. CEO did far less reps and more film and walk through. I saw that teams hung in until the end after that.

A former player that split the 2 coaches could probably give some really good insight to the pros and cons of both now that they are far removed

Could be, but I'd be careful blaming the injuries on practice without knowing what's actually going on. There's a fine line between getting players ready for the physical demands of the SEC and wearing them down before Saturday. I'd be more interested in knowing how much contact they're doing during the season and whether they're giving guys enough time to recover.

Supposedly, and based only on Smart's words and those of many talking heads and players, UGA practices are brutal. The thinking is that it makes players MORE physical.

Interesting enough SUPPOSEDLY UGA changed that last week before Auburn - again, according to talking heads....supposedly Smart said the team was exhausted mentally and physically. Of course who knows if any of this is actually real or not BUT I suspect if both are true it may be a while before UGA takes it easy in practice in prep for a SEC game.

I know when they said this at the beginning of the game I told my wife it could be troubling....Smart has always maintained that if one was to play at UGA one had to be ready to be physcial in practice....if they did indeed "take it easy" last week it probably won't happen again.
