Bear Bryant had a rule inserted in the manual in 73 with the extra SEC game taht says you call holding different on Bama teams they are such better athletes it just looks like they are holding so all the officials have to agree. I think Spurrier got them to take it out but everyone knows that is they way they still call it.

It is wierd Bama fans that when ever you get NON SEC refs you get 4-5x as many holding calls. Maybe they don't know they Bear rule.

There were a couple of bad calls, and several no calls that should have been calls that went both ways. Was it better than a lot of SEC games? Sure. Was it worthy of praise no

Either lots of holding or great technique.

Eta: I'm late. But not alone in my thoughts at least.

Look we let them drive 80 yards for a TD with minute somthing left. I thought The GD Saints Defense suddenly had snuck into the GD MF game. That is not our defense, not our Tradition and Not LSU football. I have not seen that shite since the Lou Tepper days. So we deserved to get beat.

Bama was hurt by the illegal procedure penalty that was called on LSU when the RB fumbled.

Copeland's hit was unnecessary. Even Les was eating his arse out.

That was definitely pass interference on the pass to Bell.

Bama called for holding and Les declined the penalty.

You guys still lost. Was bama the better team? frick no. That check they wrote to Satan is still being cashed in. I knew LSU wouldn't win. At no point did I have any faith LSU would win . It was inevitable.

LSU fan.

The game was fair. No egregious calls and/or no calls. I don't feel like LSU was robbed by the officials or that you (Gumps) were gifted a W. I've had my complaints in the past as I still lose sleep over Peterson's interception, but tonight I feel like I can honestly say the game was decided between the players, not the officiating. It wasn't perfect, it never will be, but this is what I want a game to be like.

All kidding aside, I thought the officiating was outstanding in the game tonight.

There were missed calls, but they let the players decide the outcome and in the end, that's all you can ask for when two heavyweights go at it.

Replay showed that onside kick went 9 yards.

Pass interference against Bell was clearly PI.

Hell, Bama called for holding and les declined (4th down).

Bama never holds.(LOL)

Horrible thread Alabama's offensive line held LSU for 1/3 of the game and nothing was called

You people are hilarious. And pathetic.

Isn't it amazing that you never hear any of the commentators mentioning holding or defensive players complaining about getting held? Or, are we to believe, that the conspiracy has spread so far and wide that the opposing DL and CBS/ESPN are now involved in it?

Block in the back on the touchdown.

Yeah, I saw CFF dedicate 30 minutes to to that. I've never seen Holtz so angry - he suggested Alabama pays the refs.
