OU beating the Vols and then having a good year would be a feather in their cap. The Sooners are a marque program that just hasn't quite got it done recently and a win against the Vols would help them out a lot.

Florida has been woeful of late but they still own the Vols. Beat Tennessee and they can show they are further along in rebuilding the program to be where they want to be then folks think.

For that matter if Arkansas can go on the road and whip an improved Tennessee team it would mean a lot to them.

The Vols are a big fat juicy pinata going into this season. Everyone wants to take a whack at them.

UT is important in the same way UK is important- if we lose its catastrophic, if we win I mean who really cares if to not like that would impress anyone.

No we're in the catbird seat in that game. Winning gives us momentum early and a decent showing does as well. It's not a game that matters to our season unless we win it.

It's the author of that OU article that claims it's the most important game for them. Same with the Florida article - the writer claims Tennessee is the most important game on UF's schedule.

Keep telling yourself that... your prospects aren't looking great this year regardless. The fact that a team you've beaten 10 years in a row is the road favorite to win this year says all you need to know about where the two programs are in relation to each other.
