UF-OK is ridiculous.

1100 miles apart.

Well Aggie doesn’t have any real history with OU either

I mean 77-0 was pretty historic.

Meh, low hanging fruit, it’s just a fact that Aggie and Oklahoma could really care less if they played, they just don’t have any real historical significance

Yeah, fair. I'm happy to have all of our rivals as our perms but I do lament a bit that it means we don't have an opportunity for a new rivalry, though 2-on-2-off is still pretty good.

Translation: Sarge scared to play OU yearly.

I think it would be fun having Florida on the schedule every year. Would rather have the Gators than playing 3 former conference opponents from the BigXll.

TX, FL, and then having former Big 8 Missouri is a hit for me.

The you play them

I’d rather have Alabama, Auburn or one of the Mississippi schools if Arkansas isn’t available

Part of the SEC is having your rivals close so the live fans get into it

It is why Auburn - Georgia is played tho East and West

By distance / history, OU should get say ...
Utx - rivalry
Hogs - border close

Then 1 of these 2
TAMU - will sell more seats than OU / MU
MU - old Big 8 history

I understand the distance to keep things close for fans just also looking at the other sports as well with FL that we match up well with as both of us are highly ranked that could make for a great rivalry. It was just an open thought of mine.

That is what they thought about replacing UK vs UT with UK vs UF when Florida had Donovan. Had a terrible effect on the live event and Gators tanked in basketball so ESPN / CBS got what they wanted but hurt the schools.

I think the overall sports profile between OU and the SEC is great across sponsored sports and think you guys will be a good fit. Just get nervous in the modern age when bean counters have more say so than folks who actually buy the tickets and attend the games.
