Orgeron is a fiery guy and a good recruiter and a humble leader who has learned from his past mistakes at Ole Miss and from his great coaching mentors (Erikson and Carroll) at Miami and So Cal respectively. He would never say this at his level of maturity.

But Everytime he steps to the podium, I imagine he’s thinking to him self about his detractors:

“HEY, how do you like me now?”

He doesn’t even have to beat Bama to impress reasonable people who know how hard the West is and how hard winning a football game can be. A 10 win season would be quite an accomplishment with this young team with a new offense.

And the pollsters have loved LSU this year, even thru ugly wins and a road loss.

All anyone ever understands is when he says go tygas!

I like him. Cool personality. I don't think he does a lot of coaching...

He's earned a spot as head coach. I just don't know why recruits aren't committing yet. It's like they're still uncertain. They don't have to worry. it ain't going to be A 5 loss season and a new head coach. Everyone is staying put

He is a D line specialist and has clearly and honestly pointed out the he has learned from Pete Carroll and others and his bad days at Ole Miss to delegate tasks to capable people, trust them, but hold them accountable.

From a CEO aspect of the program last year, he recruited solid lineman to fill needs and provide depth instead of worrying about star power, he brought in a MONEY kicker, and he brought in Joe Burrow because he needed a QB that could buy time for a younger guy (Brennan) to Red shirt and develop.

I’d say that’s coaching boss.

I'd gladly pull up a chair, and have a drink or two, or ten, with him and yaw about football.

Orgeron, ironically, is rumored to be a recovered hard drinker, possibly alcoholic. I think he abstains now. But I think he’d love to chat you up and share some gumbo with you!

Uh, if he can keep us at 10-2 or 11-1 until Saban retires, I’m good with that.

He’s done a hell of a job. I’m happy for him. We didn’t make it easy for him.
