I wouldn't call BK a "sympathetic figure" by any means, but LSU was stupid enough to hire him, give him a 10 year contract, and a big buyout so while BK is a massive turd he's not the one in the wrong here. And as I've stated here before, LSU was right to pull the trigger mid-season but they didn't have their ducks in a row before doing so.

Oh yes , oh yes ! The rare and wonderful Lima Syndrome. It's sort of the Stockholm Syndrome in reverse. As onlookers we vilified Bran Kelly as LSU's coach, but now there seems to be compassion and empathy.

( Plus its really funny and entertaining!)

Absolute clown activities going on in Baton Rouge.

Personally, I’m enjoying it and don’t believe it could’ve happened to a better group of absolutely moronic politicians, delusional fans and idiotic administrators.

As a fan, seeing my school pay out an incredibly large sum of money to someone who in no way, shape, or form earned the money, I am glad to see LSU take a stand like this.

I understand the sentiment, but a contract is a contract. Same with Jimbo's payout. No issues with Kelly deciding he will negotiate for a reduced amount in the event of a lump sum payout. Otherwise, pay up as agreed upon in the contract.

Even as someone who grew up in Alabama, I've always been amazed at the corruption and incompetence on display in Louisiana politics.

At this point it's practically your state slogan.

Longtime Montgomery talk radio host Don Markwell used to say that "the only difference between Alabama politics and Louisiana politics is that Louisiana is proud of it."

Having graduated from LSU and lived in Alabama for many years, I fully agree with him.

GEAUX TIGERS!
