Obviously LSU > Arkansas, but he wasn't special at Arkansas and he wouldn't be at LSU.

I highly doubt he ends up at LSU. He interviewed for the LSU job after Saban left and they chose Miles over him.

If we were in the West and, you know, contending for division titles and all, Petrino would easily be my first choice for LSU out of the big names being bruited about. He might be the only one of the top candidates who could actually ruin LSU recruiting. He's just that bad at it, and, by all accounts, a fairly unpleasant person generally. Don't need to be a great guy to be a great coach, but when recruiting is part of a program's lifeblood -- and it always will be in the SEC -- being a bad recruiter and generally dislikable guy can be a serious handicap.

I'm sure this will get a lot of laughs, but David Cutcliffe at LSU would not be too funny. He just beat perennially overrated Notre Dame, and has won the ACC at Duke. I would not like to see what he could do with LSU talent.

God, I hope not. Cutcliffe is one of my favorite coaches. I don't want to see him ruined by getting trapped in the rat maze.
