For Bama I would go with someone like Jay Barker, Greg McElroy, or Steadman Shealy. Alabama has never been a team that blew you away with pure talent. It has been tough, smart, team oriented guys with excellent leadership abilities like the 3 above who led us to the vast majority of our national titles.

Josh Williard.
not highly recruited, offered by MIles based on camp.
was not allowed to practice with the team when he first hit LSU, because he was not in shape. Redshirt, of course.
Now two years later, Dandy Don projects him to be the starting left guard.
I know, I know, Dandy is not a coach, but its still high praise from a long time football fan.
That is some great work in just a couple of years.
He will be play in the NFL some day. He has two more years at LSU.
He will compete for championships.
My kind of guy.

David Pollack. He embodied the passion of the true "Junkyard Dawgs" defense. He and Rennie Curran were true game-changers on D in recent history.

its got to be Demeco Ryans. All-american, NFL defensive ROY. great attitude, great person, the best representative of UA football in my lifetime. Julio and ingram are close, I've met all three in casual social settings and you cant go wrong with any of them.
