That's probably fair. Kind of depends on when we play them. Clearly we'll know more about Alabama this weekend. Ole Miss would depend on what Bo we get. Our defense has improved drastically in the second half of the season. Markus Golden is healthy.

Tennessee played Oklahoma early on the road at Night before they lost a game when they thought they were National Title contenders.

Tennessee played @UGA against a full strength team with Gurley and Chubb and Michell (who got hurt in our game).

Tennessee played UF after a bye week for the Gators and were able to play Treon Harris (still should have won that game).

Tennessee played Ole Miss @Ole Miss with Treadwell and Tunsil and Bo started slow but got hot late in 2nd QTR.

Tennessee played Bama the week after they torched A&M 56-0.

We didn't get favorable situations in any of those games even though we still should have beat UF IMO.

Well, that's great and all but while trying to give us credit we still get the "nice little program", pat on the head stuff.

People tend to forget, this is far from our best team either. We have an excellent defense, but our offense was hot garbage for much of the year although it's come together a bit. It didn't take a all time Mizzou team to win the down East. We were a bit down as well. As for last year, we just had a very good team and even if UGA/UF/UT weren't down still had a very legitimate chance to win.

So, no. I don't think we have to settle into the second tier when those other programs "get back". You can tout recruiting rankings, but they simply don't matter to us. We'll get our guys.

You don't like being called a "nice little program"? You are excitedly talking about bumping your stadium's capacity to the mid 70s. Your revenue is not in the same stratosphere as the top 75% of the league. You consistently rank in the lower third of the league in recruiting - as much as you want to believe it is because you just want to "get your guys", the truth is that you would take the bigger named recruits if they were willing to go to your school. They aren't, and you have to make do.

All that aside, you have won the East twice in a row. Very good and probably unexpected, even for a lot of your own fans. Doesn't change your status as a nice little program. By your admission, Missouri was "down a bit as well". Are you saying that this year's Missouri team was below average by Missouri standards? That the average Missouri team does better than 10-2?

Leave the 10-2 out of it and yes we were below average especially on offense: points per game & total offense.

To the Arkansas Fan: No most teams do not play 6-9 ranked teams a year. That would be extremely rare. Yes this year the SEC West was one of the toughest divisions ever so those teams did play a lot of ranked teams, however take a look out at the rest of the NCAA and you will find that most teams play 2-3 ranked teams tops.

You also keep acting like Mizzou would have been a bottom feeder in the West. Well it beat two of the teams, and it beat a team (yours) that had just beat Ole Miss 30-0 and LSU 17-0. I would say at minimum Mizzou was better than two of the West teams and based on those comparative scores could play with those other two teams. As Georgia also stomped Auburn you can't put Auburn beyond Mizzou either. We'll never know about Mississippi St., and this Saturday will see how close Mizzou is to Alabama.

Offense is way worse. Defense is way better. 2012 and 2014 are the only two years I can remember where we've had a better defense than offense.

Overall this team is now at par or a little better than average. At the beginning of the season we were way worse than average. Our defense is good right now, but most of that is the line creates enough pressure that the other players don't have to work as hard. Without the pass rush, our D would be average.

In every damn post I have seen in this thread by a Missouri fan all they talk about is the last 2 years and what they did. I guess you want to use "it was our first year and we were hurt" bullshite so you don't have to include what you have done all 3 years since you have been here.

Oh, do you want us to be all-inclusive?

Going back 10 years they're Top 10 nationally in Wins and have 5 division titles in the last 8 years.

What I love about Pinkel is that HE adjusted to coming to the SEC. He beefed up the lines and has tweaked the offense to be able to play and win at Old Man Football. They're wearing asses out in the 4th quarters and imposing their will. I love it. Bert, Sumlin and Butch are still trying to get the license plate of the team that trucked them.

This is why no one will take most Mizzou fans seriously on this forum. Saying UG hasn't done Jack is completely false and wreaks of a little kid lashing out.

I like the one or two new Mizzou fans in here. Keep posting. It seems like you can actually talk about football without gritting your teeth and whining.

hahahaha...........ok jawja fan.

2 out of the last 3 years Mizzou is going to the SEC Championship game and in the last two years is tied with Bama for wins in the SEC.

Is Mizzou better than y'all have thought or has the SEC just been extremely over rated?

It's one or the other.
